KNIFE SHARPENING

A sharp knife is a safe knife.

Pricing is $1.25 per inch of blade with a $7.00 minimum per knife. Minor repairs to damaged or broken blades and tips can be done for a minimal charge depending to the extent of the damage. 

I am currently working out of my home workshop located at 1 Keyes St Kingston. (West end, near Days and Front Road).

I will have a drop box set up soon, but for now, knives can be left in my mail box for contactless service.

Knives can usually be turned around in 24 hours and in some cases they can be done the same day if they are dropped off in the morning. 

I sharpen all styles of knives including, chefs knives, french knives, serrated bread knives, steak knives, parring knives, boning knives, carving knives, fillet knives, watermelon knives, pizza knives (wheel or rocker style) cleavers, pocket knives and hunting knives.

I also sharpen all makes of knives including; Western style knives (Henckel, Wusthof, Global, MAC, Shun etc.), and a full range of stainless steel, high carbon knives and single and double beveled Japanese knives.

Every knife goes through a 5 step sharpening process to ensure the best possible results are achieved. I only sharpen your knives by hand using series of the finest Japanese Whetstones. I have perfected my technique using precise free-hand sharpening methods tailored for each blade. This technique results in razor sharp edges with no damage, scuffing, or unwanted scratches that belt grinders and bench grinders can leave on your knives.

Simply wrap your knives in a clean tea towel or roll in newspaper. Secure the bundle with an elastic band or tape with your name on it and you’re ready to go.

You can pay by Cash or E-Transfer when you come to pick up your knives.

If paying by cash please leave the money in the mail box in an envelope with your name on it. If paying by E-Transfer please send E-Transfer to scott@kingstonknifesharpening.ca

( I sharpen all types of scissors and shears, *(beauty shears, tailor shears and scissors, house hold scissors)  garden shears and clippers, axes and hatchets, machetes, hunting knives and lawn mower blades and reel mower blades.

I do not sharpen chain saw blades, planner blades, chisels, drill bits and circular saw blades.
